Bronco Accident

I think this is why ford ultimately designed the next gen Bronco as they did. Basic truck cab. removable rear cap instead of the whole top coming off. I have a hard top with roll bar but I still don't think I want to eat windshield frame in roll over. Also in a slower roll the "Roll Bar" with top off would keep the truck off its top and just land on its side instead of no bars and no top and being smashed in your seat. Have fun and enjoy roadster owners. LOL That's probly why roasters didn't last long in production, imagine rolling with windshield down, no doors, no top, no bar hmmm. Although they still make convertible cars with no kind of bars at all and plenty of folks get killed in new cars with airbags everyday etc. etc. Just be smart drivers and alert. Also have any of you poked around new cj jeeps with factory roll bars they have plastic around there bars no real padding at all or very thin padding. They also have small bars going to top of windshield frames from rear hoop.

I have been in a slow roll over in a 73 Bronco. Just had a roll bar. Ended up on the roof. Roll bar did the job but I think the results would have been much worse if I was going faster and rolled more than once. The Bronco had a full top. The Bronco came to rest just like the one in this accident, roof crushed from roll bar to base (hinge) of the windshield. Roll bar was bent sideways. Cage is much safer!
Funny thing - I had to crawl back in the Bronco and turn it off. It was still running upside down!

I've had to turn off all the cars i've rolled, even the ones still upside down.
