I'm having a Bronco Design stock fiberglass hood with the hood latch replacing my stock metal hood, what are you fellow members using for strut hood shocks?, I had a set of BGY on my metal hood and worked great. I don't know if I can still use the same set-up. I live in NYC and my truck is in PA.
Thanks in advance. ;D;D

I want to do this too and what I found was everybody liked Duffs.

They are all very similar but each have their own slight differences. Same thing is true for everybody's rear hatch prop shocks too.

I prefer the Duff design, it spreads the force on the hood better with the hood attachment part. They will tell you it is for steel only but it will work fine with most hoods. If not you can just replace with different struts, there is a ton of different fiberglass hoods, some paper thin and others high quality like the Bronco Designs hood.

I got my hood shocks from Bronco Grave Yard, they work perfectly. The bronco design latch style hood has steel reinforcements made into it.

I've used the BC stuff (the originator of Bronco hood shocks) on mine for years but it uses a long mounting strap which doesn't look like it would fit on the convoluted mounting surface on the underside of the BD hood (which looks very well-designed). I'm curious if the Duff stuff would either as it appears from hyghlndr's link to be long as well.

The Duff kit is supposed to fit the bronco design hood. The hood o have that is finished underneath is more riged than even the factory steel hood. I can grab the front corner when it is up and close it and there is very little flex.

I bought the Shox N the Hood kit from WH for my Bronco Design mid rise fiberglass hood. Not installed though as I want the body shop to do it
