I'm not sure my co-pilot is going to make it. I'll be your navigator if you'll be mine. I have a new tactic I want to try for this year's event. We can't let Big Bird & the yellow Bronco win again!
There is a thread somewhere where Mike discussed the various differences in his tub vs. the others. I remember reading that most of the differences like leaving the ribs out was done to add strength and eliminate stress points in the fiberglass. You may want to see if you can find the thread and read up. My understanding is the changes Mike made and the things he left out(like the ribs) make it a far superior product over mimicking a steel body like the others.
I had read that as well. I'd like to see an insert that would so over the smooth floor for traction and aesthetics. Maybe something like glass over foam core.
