• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

Kinda what I thought, didn't see an autograph passing by.. Was trying to tell if it's fiberglass tub or if they grafted the rear quarters..

Prices

Side note, I attended the Daytona turkey run this week, hundreds of classic cars and trucks for sale brought in from all over the country. Saw several broncos, when most years there might be one or two. 40 k seems to be a fairly normal price nowadays for a restore. I saw a few, including a nice white and blue pony for 42k. Sign of the times.....

That Bronco has been setting there for awhile. I saw it in the same place a couple months ago. It is hard to believe some of the prices people are asking for Broncos. I see parts Broncos on Craigslist all the time for 5 to 8 thousand. Just hard to believe someone would pay that kind of money for a Bronco rusted to the ground. With that being said there are still some deals out there if you look long enough.

Seeing the current prices are making me want to kick myself all the harder for letting mine go a few years back. Ce la vie. With a little luck I will be able to pick up another one without completely breaking the bank.

Don't know if it sold, lots of folk looking. Maybe they were just trying to hit a home run with the crowds there, what the heck, maybe someone with deep pockets will roll by. I saw a second half cab blue and white in rough shape for about 12k.

I have mixed feelings about the prices, but we all know you can drop $40k into a restoration pretty easy. Why should a completed restoration always be valued less than is invested? I think we are seeing market pressures here. All it takes is slightly elevated demand to make these things spike in price. There is lots of interest in Broncos, as we all see. Whether that translates into increased demand and these $40k asking prices turn into sales, only time will tell.

Right now, I'm about $17k into a bronco that's likely worth about $12k right now. Not sure that is sustainable either... ; )
