I am looking for a history lesson....

What broncos got side trim?
Which ones got rocker trim?
Which got hardtop driprail trim?

I've seen non-sports with side trim, and sports without trim. What was the standard? Haven't seen a direct answer yet.

Just looked at my 1977 brochure.

Bright Molding bodyside and tailgate was an option on all models with the exception of Special Decor trims (they had the hockey style stripe)
Bright Molding rocker panel was an option on everything (with the exception of Ranger models unless the tape stripe is deleted)
From memory the hardtop drip rail chrome was 1967-1968? Someone correct me on this one!

Spot on, except the hardtop drip rail trim was 67-71. I’ve seen one mostly original early 72 with the trim but I consider it an exception since it’s a U14.

Of course, the 66 is the oddball here because they had neither the body side trim or rocker trim either.

Hardtop drip rail trim was definitely a 71 item. The brochures and the vehicles built in that year (mine for one) show that to be the case. The rocker trim seems to have lived on a few years at least. I have seen it on a 73 originally. I do not know what the cut-off year was.

Rocker trim was available through the end of the production ('77). As Zeke stated, stripe delete Ranger packages got the rocker trim through the '77 model year.

My replacement hard top has the drip rail trim. I've always wondered what model it came from. Now I know at least that it was a 67-71

Is there anywhere on the hard tops that have a date or engineering number stamped into it?
