I'm in the process of replacing tie rod ends, and adding a hydraulic stabilizer on my '77 with a "T" tie rod conversion.
I've noticed the power steering box is leaking a bit from the output shaft. It's got a bit of slop in it too.
Where can I send the box for rebuilding?
I see that Toms has that service. Any experiences would be helpful.

Like stated above. Most guys use west Texas off road. I believe the can also bort it for hydro if you need that.

Thanks for the lead on them. I've got a text in to find out their lead time.
My Bronco has over 300K miles on it. I had the power steering box resealed at 98K miles. It's held up well, but it's time for a rebuild, and the quicker late model box is certainly worth the fixing.

I've had two rebuilt at Pro Steering Gear on N Vancouver Way - where Vancouver Way intersects Marine Drive . Been happy with both rebuilds . Both times I dropped em off in the morning one day and picked em up the next afternoon. Maybe I got lucky on "lead time " and how busy they were .

Had my box done recently by AGR. They converted it to a 4 turn, re valved it for a stiffer feel and did a few other things to it. Came out great, real happy with it. Now my 77 is leaking so I'm sending them that one next.

So there are places in Texas, North Dakota, Oregon, California,
Anybody know of places a little closer to the south east.
I want to do a rebuild "and" 3.5 or 4 turn conversion.

I have had these guys (San Jose) rebuild two Bronco boxes for me over the years... Plus some custom work on a Ch*vy box for my FJ40.

It is nice when you walk in the door and the guy looks up at you and says "What's wrong with your Bronco steering Box?"

yes, had them do mine and port it.
I would try and find someplace closer just because of the shipping. just factor that in when price shopping. I think it took WTO about a week and a half to get mine done.

I read on here a while back that they will fit in a USPS flat rate box, so anywhere in the country (lower 48) is the same price and 3 days or less to arrive.
Make sure you wrap it in a plastic bag so the box doesn't look like it's bleeding.
