My boat building partner and I built this bumper and I thought I would share. He did most of the work and I just wanted to show off.

Looks light.
But I'm mostly interested in the self-aiming headlight on the passenger side and the four dog-legs sticking out the bottom! ;D

Special trail helpers maybe? When you run out of ground clearance, the legs just sort of walk your front end over the obstacles?
Very trick!

The center and frame mounts is 3/8" and the outer sections on each side is 3/16". Weighs about 40 lbs.

It was from some scrap aluminum left over from boats. The base winch plate is 5/8" thick and sides are 3/16"to buy the material, none of you tight asses would pay what it cost in material, LOL. I would guess 500 in material alone and I usually do 50 to 100% material cost for my labor, putting you out of pocket 750-1000 for a bumper. Then the fact that I would have to buy a sheet of 5/8" at 1200 bucks, and a sheet of 3/16" at about 300 bucks puts me in a bind with 1500 out of pocket. Granted I would be able multiple bumpers.
