I have purchased some gorilla war flares for my 68. Have not installed them yet, kinda wondering if I should, as I just painted, and bought new reflectors. May be an issue. I have a plasma cutter, but am worried about burning my paint! Doh!

You don't need a plasma to cut out the fenders! I guess that will definitely damage the paint with the heat that it generates. For me, I put a couple of layers of painters tape on the body. Traced the line that I needed to cut on and used a jigsaw with a fine cutting blade. Worked out well with the fresh paint on mine at the time! ;D Good Luck!
