The one thing I've always heard about auto tranny's is that their impossible to trouble shoot. I was just wondering if any body out there ever experienced this: When the tranny is cold it will not engage into drive. Reverse works fine regaurdless of tranny temp. But any forward gear will not engage until the transmission has warmed up. once the trans is warm it operates just fine.
Well after doing as much research as I could on the subject I decided it would cost more to buy the tools to rebuild the tranny than it would to actually buy a rebuilt tranny.
I would rather do the job my self to gain the experience but unfortunately time and my wallet are against me. This seems to be an issue with the valve body, or the clutch disks. Of course based on what I know about the subject I'm probably just shooting darts in the dark. Any feedback you guys can give me I would greatly appriciate
p.s. yes the transmission has propper fluid level
