I have em in both broncos but never spent the time to adjust the ee-brake. I'm gonna be building a complete 77 9" on the bench with em. The way the e-brake wratchets out can it be adjusted on the bench without fluid being a mechanical brake? That way when we put it in the rig we can hook up lines and be close to good after bleeding em.

Yes, you can set the parking brake prior to bleeding, and should in order to set the pad position relative to the rotor, otherwise it may not bleed.

Thanks. I think chuck posted a long while back to adjust em without the cables hooked up. That got me thinking we could do it on the bench. The other tip he mentioned was drill a new hole and attach the cable out further on the pivot bar for more throw.

Chucks steps for adjusting:

I find that this is very hard to explain without hand motions but I will try.
With the spring removed push the lever foreword, if it will move more than 1/4" the brakes need to be adjusted.
1 push lever foreword and remove
2 put lever back on as close to the back stop as possible and tighten nut
3 push lever foreword, if it will move more than 1/4" repeat 2
4 if you can not get less than 1/4" of movement remove the lever, reinstall it below the back stop and tighten nut.
5 note where lever is
6 turn lever backwards some then forewords, if it stops in the same place turn lever backwards more and check again.
7 repeat 2 and 3 above. if you still have more than 1/4" repeat 4 5 and 6 above.
8 when you have it right (less than 1/4") adjust the E-brake so that the lever is just off the the back stop.
