Cadillac/GM rear calipers

Y'all, I have searched for a solution but have come up short. The problem is I adjust the parking brake and all goes well. If I use the parking brake then the self adjusting mechanism keeps getting tighter until the wheel no longer turns and it comes to stop. Adjust the caliper again works good until I use the parking park. Slack in the cable when not on, lever is on the stop but the pads are clamped on the rotor and will not release. Only issue I could find is the stock caddy rotors are .98 wide and my rotors are 1.04 wide. Any insight as what the problem could be would be much appreciated.
