I got my new Wild Horses 4 1/2" Leaf springs installed today and was goint to mount up A set of almost new Wild Horses shocks that I have. Got them out and they are too long. I could mount them but they have to be almost totally collapsed to get them on. The shocks that were on it are obviously too short. So, looks like I'll be getting some new rear shocks. The High end shocks are a little to much cash for me right now so I was thinking Wild Horses or Cage shocks. Anybody know why one would be better than the other? Any Other shocks I should be considering?

My rig rides nicely with single WH shocks at all 4 corners (with WH 5.5" springs all around) , for whatever that's worth. With Cage Arms, F250 front shock mounts, and stock rear shock mounts, I can hang corners at 25mph with minimal body roll, and that's running 37" tires. I have only been driving my rig for a few months but at least for my initial impression, the WH shocks do the job well, and the price is reasonable.

I have however spoken to a few guys who've had both and prefer the Cage shocks to WH - but everybody's got their own opinions. I don't think you'll go wrong with either.

With your 5 1/2" lift, what size shocks do you run? I was just looking at the website and trying to figure out what size I'm gonna need.

I'm running stock shock mounts currently. I also do have the Wild Hoses shocks that I have in the parts for sale section. Check it out if your interested, I have the size compressed and extended listed in the ad.
