I'd say it would be a ok cam. I'm not real big with single pattern cams in SBF's as SBF's tend to run better with dual pattern cams(IMO) but overall the cam should be fine. The RPM ranges looks good and with a 435 you will have the gearing for lowend grunt. Your comp ratio is a little high but you should be ok what heads are you going to run? stockers or aftermarket? Aluminum heads would be better if you want to run low octane but you might just get by with cast iron heads.

It's got cast iron heads, hyperteutic pistons, Manley stainless valves and Comp roller rockers. I was hoping the NP435 would carry the low end power. Does have an Edelbrock Performer intake which wasn't really in my plans. Really wanted to run a 2100 carb on this build. No carb for it as yet. I do have a couple new DSII distributors. I know the engine is right, just wasn't sure if it would suit this vehicle. Thanks again. FYI That tranny went together with the adapter and transfer case perfectly.

Glad your tranny went together perfectly I ddint figure you would have any issues.. I run a cam with about the same RPM range but way different specs. anyhow I dont notice any loss of lowend. Even with the big heads I have.
Should be easy enough to swap a 2v manifold back on or you might even get a 4v-2V adapter plate so you can run your 2V carb on that intake.
