I found a rear dana 44 from a 67 scout 800 at the junk yard today it had a power lock in it so for 20 bucks pulled it out. The axles were 19 spline. My buddy said he thought i could buy 30 s[pline side gears to put in it. does anyone know if this i correct? If so where can i buy em? It would be great if i can use it in my bronco. if not i will ebay it .

Were the ratios similar too? Remember that a D44 unit changes between 3.73 and 3.92 ratios.
Otherwise, I would think you could get the gears still. I only have listings for Dana 30's though, so I'm not 100% certain. I know the 44 LS is a sought after unit by some, but that doesn't mean that parts are automatically easy to come by.

Might check with a gear place near you, or 4-Wheel Parts or Currie or Genuine Gear might have access to them. Randy's Ring and Pinion maybe?

Oh, and you're sure it's a Power-Lok and not a Trak-lok, or something else?

They were 373 gears on the pwer lok. I am still running stock 350s so the carriuer will work i just need to find side gears that are 30 spline. I did some checking on the net.And i am sure it is a power lock from pictures i seen. And Bronco gaveyard sell dana 44 power lok for broncos so i should be able to find 30 spline spider somewhere. Just not finding any place that list them. I guess i will have todo some calling around.
