Check this out, I wonder if anyone knows this guy or rig?
Here was my question to the owner:

"VERY nice early bronco. I have been looking for a halfcab for my wife for several months. Noticed your description said "everything original" -the roll bar was not available from Ford, the rear bumper/hitch was not factory and it is missing the factory hub caps. Anything else changed on the rig? Is the original air cleaner still on it? Just curious before I bid."

His reply:

"I'm sorry if this vehicle is not what you are looking for. I bet you will not find another this nice. If you like it bid , doesn't matter to me either way"

Good salesman-not, by the way this is on ebay for a VERY high price!!!
Just venting,

I would respond with:
Yeah I like it, but I won't be buying it from a Jerk like you...

I had a similar situation where I was looking at a hand throttle cable. I was making plans to put it in my bronco and just wanted to make sure it was going to work. So I sent a couple emails to him and then somehow I got this "No, I'd rather sit and email some guy asking questions about a measly $20 part".

I said "don't worry you won't have to anymore. $20 isn't measly to everyone."

I would interpret this to mean that THAT particular half-cab has no future home in the Bradley family collection..LOL.

What a jerk! Hey..if I was the ornery sort (I can be) I would post the ebay link so 'others' of us could ping the guy with differently worded variations on the same theme..ha ha ha ..drive him mad, we could. ;D Yr move, Karl.

Thanks for the good idea Bill :)
Thanks Don for posting the link. Oh yea, I left off the "s" on bumpers, both the front and rear are non stock, if anyone wants to mention that to Mr. "Everything original"
:)

Hey Karl, Andy over here in Johnson City. I think about 100 or more of us should e-mail him the same questions that you did about the originality. Kinda drive him nuts ya know:) I think I'll go ahead and ask him anyway. He he.

This is funny .. a friend just sent me the link to that auction ... we got a good laugh . He can expect zero bids on that one . Lets see 10+ pics and none of the interior or engine compartment ? But HEY .. it's SOOOO original ;D :p :D

Seems like a mighty stiff price but questions sent off we'll see what kind of answers he gives

From the provided pics, it appears to a clean Bronco. A really nice rig. Good paint from a distance as least. For that kind of $$ however there should be pics of the problem rust areas, undercarriage, and engine bay. Redundant pics from afar would not attract serious buyers will to spend the $$$. IMO. I like it, don't get me wrong. If you are willing to spend that kind of money though there should be something bone stock and completely original somewhere available.

It looks like an original bumper, but with a big/ugly bullbar on it. Its OK. Might even be worth the $$, but not based on that info. He may just be testing the waters... %) as people have been doing lately.... %)

My reply to his lack of reply before I posted on classic:

Man, what a response, I ask a real question and you did not even answer it. If you are a betting man, I will bet you will not get a real bid on the bronco at that price, especially when you put everything original-anyone that knows ebs, will catch the roll bar, bumper etc. THAT makes me wonder what else is changed, covered up etc.
*****************************************************
his attempt to reply-I know of no where else this would have come from and it got me for a min.-I will admit, I went to "My ebay" and it was still active!!
Needless to say I did not click on the link!!!

Wow....send that to the eBay scam department..If I recall correctly its something like spoof@ebay.com or something like that (check to make sure first, please...I'm working off my feeble memory here). They are hot on stuff like that if it is not real, respond very quickly, and if they trace it to that clown then he is in big trouble as far as his future eBay presence goes.
