Carb issues. Help

I took this bronco for its first spin Saturday since the previous owner tore it apart in 2004 and ran great. Sunday I went to crank it and it fuel flooded out the top of those to holes on the front of the carb (see green arrows) and it died. Tried it again today and same issue. Any screws I need to twist to get it to act right or does it need a rebuild?

Also what model carb is this?

Thanks!!

I would bet it is a Motorcraft 2150, the newer version of the ever popular Autolite 2100. Damn near the same carb. Pick up a rebuild kit from your local auto parts store for 15 bucks. I have a complete tear-down rebuild manual for these things if you need it. Not sure how to post it though.

I wonder if it is the upper gasket causing that...

I have that same motorcraft carb on my 75 bronco, 302. The rebuild probably takes less than 2 hours and made a world of difference for me when I completed it! Take your time, be sure clean out the small jets, etc. A gallon can of carb cleaner that has the small parts tray in it work great, along with some compressed air to clean all the passages.

Your float is stuck down holding the needle and seat open. You will have to take the center air cleaner bolt out and the small screws around the top and remove the top and free up the float. There maybe debris under the needle seat which is under the float.

You win. Worked like a charm! And when I took it off the gasket looks brand new so I'm guessing the PO rebuilt it for me

Thanks guys! I should add up all the money this site has saved me in mechanic work!
