Rebuilding 2100 and can't remember which power valve gasket to use around the actual power valve...both gaskets in the kit are round on the outside, but one has a triangular inside area where as the other has a round inside area. Which do you guys use? It had a triangular on it and used to run good, but I rebuilt the carb and used the round one and it runs not so good....so I don't know if this had an effect on it or not. Which style do I use or does it matter???

Thanks,

Like Holley power valve gaskets, which are interchangeable with Ford types, the inside cut just keeps the gasket centered. When the valve is installed the outer edge of the gasket needs to be in side the lip. If it isn't, extra fuel is allowed to flow below the throttle plate.

It should matter as was said as long as it seals. I would say either its not sealing might need to check it or just make sure the power valve is tight or the power valve itself is bad.
What do you mean by runs not so good? Whats it doing?
