Who all is going? I'm pretty excited about it. I registered my Bronco for it last year and wasn't able to go.

Anyone bringing parts? I'm looking for D44 4.88 gear set; and my long shot is 67 Sport Dash Trim that won't put me in the poor house lol

Looking forward to meeting some of you all

I thought about it…but not sure family schedule will let me get away for the weekend. I really need to get back there…I used to go every year as a kit growing up.

Slight chance I will be there on Saturday. I wouldn't bring my EB as it will be a last minute decision to go. I wanted to go on Friday but cant get out of work. I used to go every year. Then I got married, had kids, took over a company, and well just ran out of hours in the day!! Cant wait to retire so I can do the things I want to do again!

Looks like they are only planning on 300 Bronco's coming. We went 3 years ago and it wasn't worth it.

^^^ Maybe not as a Bronco vendor but in general, if you are a die hard Ford person, you can't go wrong by going. I was amazed at all the variety of Fords and parts I saw there!

I went 3 years ago as well and as a big time ford guy I was still really happy to be there even if there aren't as many broncos as SuperCel. I did get my registration, nice 60th Ann EB sticker in the envelope. I'm probably going to go Saturday only

We spent more on expenses, than we sold, so it's not worth it to us. That's the main reason CJ Pony stopped going to shows.

Yeah, as a business you have a different calculus for attending than spectators.

Todd Z.
When were doing Mustangs, we did very well every year. The Bronco business is entirely different.

Same reason the big 3 stopped going to SEMA.
Same reason Tremec cut back on Goodguys events.
Businesses are all looking at what goes out $ to be there and what comes in afterward.
As the cost for everything goes up, the average person/business has to have a hard look at costs, and make some sacrifices.

As a business owner that does trade shows (not in the auto motive word) this is the case for sure. We only do one trade show per year any more, the cost involved are substantial. After the show is done and we review all the expenses I often question if it is worth it! People dont think about all the cost that go into them. The cost for the space at the show, the shipping and handling of equipment to and from the show, if you have a display the cost of that, the cost to build the equipment that is for the show if it is not sold before hand, the cost to house, feed and transport employees, then there are the cost involved with entertaining customers and vendors when attending the shows. Even for a small business like ours we can easily surpass $100,000 in expenses for attending just one show per year!

But I will say that trade shows still have their place. It is always good to be able to see equipemnt or cars in real life and get to shake hands with the people involved. Good luck to all the attendees, vendors, and tire kickers in Carisle!

"Only 300" is probably a record for a non Bronco specific show.

3x what we had at the 40th, 2x the 50th.

And as a chassis builder, you should have been more focused on the 60,000 Ford enthusiasts who attend from all over the country and world, not just those who already own Broncos. Not to mention the number in that 60,000 that are financially willing and able to spend $150-250K on a custom build vs at a typical Bronco event. Kincer Chassis attends regularly on the manufacturer's midway (most expensive spots available, but typical vendor spaces are much less), and does very well showcasing their custom products.

And there's more to why CJs quit going. My brother was their VP of logistics for a few years and next door neighbor to Jay before he sold it. They have a massive online presence, selling mostly common reproduction and performance parts that people are familiar with. They make so much in one day's online sales, it didn't really make sense. Most vendors aren't like that. Especially those selling unique and custom items that many potential buyers like to see up close.

They participate in a different way now by having people meet at their showroom in nearby Harrisburg and then take a cruise over to the show. Again, not something most vendors can do.

There's also an EB Stroppe Baja version of the Carlisle decal that will be available at the show.
