CB Antenna mounting question

I know it may not be the best location but until I buy a new bumper with a tire swing arm I am going to mount a 4 foot fierstick CB Antenna directly to my rear bumper.

My question is can or should the mounting bolt make contact with the hole in my bumper or should it be isolated from making contact?
I noticed the instructions want me to use a nylon washer and my Firering cable also has a nylon insert. I am assuming this is to prevent the antenna from making contact with the grounded mount but wanted to check.

I found my answer online. The firering cable I am using must connect at the ground or base on one side. the other side must make contact with the bolt that goes into the antenna. My mount hole in the bumper needed to be larger so the bolt did not touch it. The bolt can not make contact with the mount/bumper/ground. It is close but does not make contact.
My CB works fine now. I checked it with a SWR meter and it seems fine.

One thing to think about when mounting - If you mount the antenna rigid to the carrier, avoid low branches. There isn't a lot of flex in a 4' stick and they tend to snap at the base/bolt. A VERY stiff spring at the base or something to give it a little flex is a good idea ;)
