Centech ignition switch wiring

I put the Centech wiring harness in my rig in 2004. Didn’t add much on to it, but I am now. I used the switch that came with the Centech kit, I like it. There are spades on the sides of the switch, are any of these switched power or constant power? They would be convenient places to tie into the harness.

Please advise,
Chris

Do you mean the stock-looking switch with one of the kits, or the aftermarket switch (smaller diameter, round, with a non-Ford key) that comes in their basic kit?

I'd have to see the back of the switch as I have not looked at one in years, but it's very possible that any spade on the side of the switch is a "prove out" or "proof out" connector.
If that's the case then no, there is no 12v switched to it. Only grounds when the key is turned to START.

How many total spades are there? Does the switch have an ACC position?
Most switches, whether factory or aftermarket, only have four or five connections.
They are:

1. Power IN
2. Power out to IGN and REG in ON only.
3. Power out to Starter Relay in START only.
4. Power to the accessories in ACC and ON positions.

5. And if so equipped, the fifth one is the Prove Out Ground.
On Broncos this is used to turn on the Brake Warning lamp during START as a bulb test.

Do you have your Brake Warning light hooked up?
