I am having numerous problems with my ignition switch on a '71 with a 302. My battery seems to always end up dead after I shut it off. I am starting to believ that the ignition swtich may be in wrong. But anyways, I am thinking of installing a toggle switch for the on/off/start. Iwas wondering if anyone had done this and how it was done. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

you would need an on off switch for the run position and a push button for the starter. Could be done as long as the switches are rated for enough amps.
