Changing D-60 to 5-5.5 lug pattern

Anyone know what I need to get this done? I have a 78-79 F-350 Snowfighter D-60 HP and rear matching D-60. I want to use my FW HD Ford 9in for the rear with the 5-5.5 lug pattern. I already have Walker Evans w/ 5-5.5 pattern and BFG Krawlers. What's it take to make the front 5-5.5 pattern?

I suppose I can sell the Walkers and buy some 8 lug wheels if it's easier to change the 9in to the matching d-60 8 lug? Help???

Its easier all around to swap in the rear 60 and get new wheels. Probably have to swap it in anyway unless you shortened the front D60. It would probably cost you around $1K+ to swap bolt patterns on the 60's as was said 15in wheels probably wont clear the brakes.

The Walkers are nice wheels. I understand you want to keep them.
But I have never seen a cheap way to do a 5 lug conversion on a 60. Doable, just not cheap. I don't remember the latest of what's out there, but I recall there are a few different sources of doing it.

-and they do make a .46 caliber, just enough to outdo a .454

I used rock crusher hubs $340 and got caliper brackets from blackbird to use gm calipers. Made my own big break kit. Blackbird sells the whole kit also. Check out my build threads and search my posts.

I turned down my hubs to fit in the wheel, built brake brackets to fit GM calipers and used a half ton ford rotor.
The Caliper fit was very snug and required some grinding to get it to fit. Dual piston calipers would probably be a better fit but also cost more. In the end I swapped to 1-ton chevy outers for the stronger knuckle and just ran the 8-lug with the factory brakes.

I've got a factory 5 lug d60 on my 96 dodge ram 2500, with a matching front d44 5lug. pretty rare critter.

Search on Pirate - D60's there are like D44's here. I looked into it and went 8lug - I'm clearing 15's with the big dual piston calipers, but it wasn't easy. I see you have 17's - no big deal there - you just need a custom hub to clear. I am switching to the 75 K20 front calipers in place of my Ford dual pistons up front, the modifications I had to do to get them to clean has made me chew through brake parts and I just don't like the super tight tolerances I've got.
