Has anyone used this stuff and have an opinion of it compared to por15. It doesn't say anything about using marine clean and metal ready like por15 requires. just trynin to make this whole process easy as possible.

I used it on a hitch
It was crap

Maybe my application was not the right one

Fresh CRS tubing, welded, blasted the welds, wiped all down with lacquer thinner, brushed chassis saver on, it was completely rusted in less than 1 year on Michigan salted roads.

It also drips, you think it is holding just fine
it will look great, you walk away, come back in an hour there are drips and bubbles. No matter how thin I put it on.

it is the same formula as por15. por15 lost exclusive rights to it a few years ago and chassis saver copied it.

Maybe I just don't know how to paint

I did use it on my EB frame, and top coated it with Rustoleum, and it is holding up fine, BUT that never sees winter roads. But I still had the dripping issue on that one too.

the por15 is the same if you brush it on. If you use a gun and spray it works alot better. I have used both and they act and work the same. I actually sprayed my trail truck 2 years ago and it is the same as the day i did it, a bit milky as no uv protection, but the entire body has taken a beating here in michigan and there is still no rust forming and it sits out all year
