This may be a no-brainer, but had to change my rear brake hose because of old age and O'Reillys had them for over 40 bucks, so had them order a newer F-series hose and it was about 14 bucks and was 5-6 inches longer which helps with my lift. Same size fittings.

I am needing to do this myself. Do you remember what kind of year range the hose you picked up was?

I found a jeep site that crossreferenced that part # to a 79 F250...can't verify this but it sounds right. They also stated an alternate part # as Raybestos BH36851 if this helps anyone out.

It'll also cross to a Napa #UP BH36851 as well just to pile on...my post count is looking a little weak compared to Tito's.

Haha, thats okay. Hey you going to make it up to CAGE for the meet and greet? It'd be nice to see you out to play.

I have some long hose part numbers that I've collected over the years.

Center hose on the front was not available in a longer version of stock, although a Raybestos BH36537 has the right size ends and will bolt directly to the front axle, but the upper mount is straight, not blocked like the original. All it would take is a small bracket to mount it to the upper frame. This hose is about 8" longer than stock. For the rear use a Raybestos BH36537, Wagner F98947 or F88988. As these are direct replacement, and are a good 8inches longer than stock. They will fit 66-77.
Center front hose on 76-77 was also easy. Raybestos BH38235 or Wagner F79350, both were about 5-6 inches longer than stock.

I can't say what the physical difference is. I collected this info from the EBML back in 1998. I looked up the numbers and the F98947 is for a 76-79 F100-F350. The F88988 is for a 75 E100-E350.
