We have a new project in our possession, a Bronco belonging to my little brother Chet.

We will have it for a while, doing various things, testing some new products on it, and figured we would start a build thread to share how it goes with everyone!

To Do:

Get it running/possible engine swap/efi
disc brakes
auto tranny
body work/Paint
cage
bumpers
seats/interior
lift w/Battlement Fab radius arms/leaf springs
lots of little touches.

The goal is a nice runner/daily driver, not a wheeler other than camping or hunting.

Pretty much as it arrived, no steering box, broken shocks, flat tires.

Pulled the tires off, and cut the front bumper off. Got the frame exposed where the PS box was, and its a mess. Notice the body mount. Looks like Ill redo this portion of the frame from the stock crossmember out to prep it for a new bumper.

Hey, hows it going? The body's in good shape and its got a 44 in the front, its a good start for what I want to do with it, basically take a 96 and make an old bronco with all new stuff. Are you still in Arizona?

whenever i hear the name chet i think of the movie weird science.

post up some pics of your frame fix when it's done. i'm curious how you're going to graft the entire front piece in there.

LOL, yeah, he got his share of grief for sharing the name

im using a section of 2x4 and adding to it to meet the goofy size, then gusseting it in with the crossmember. Ill post pics when its done for sure. Its going to take a while, but it should be a cool rig when done!

I am completely thrilled and excited to be working on it, and I cant wait to see how it comes out

Yep still down here in AZ. Might have to make a run up there one of these days and check it out. My 73 still looks the same havent really done anything to it except keep it going. Got a 71 as well thats in good condition and all stock dont drive it much though. Well catch up with you later. good luck.
