Ford needs to get all their ducks in a row for the 2020 Bronco. Landrover is bringing back the Defender. Jeep has their staple and are coming out with the "truck" Jeep/new Scrambler. Toyota has some good qualities and their Tacoma and 4Runner aren't bad. And, now the Blazer. I like it. This means that competition is going to be fierce for your $$$.

All we need is for the Scout to make a comeback, also.

Unibody wont be competition in this segment. They need a smaller Tahoe to compete!

Im not a bowtie fan but Id take my wifes Tahoe over the Expedition all day!

Im really hoping Ford will give me a reason to trade my 4Runner. Would be cool to have a Classic and modern Bronco in the family.

What I have read stated that the Blazer would be a crossover likely using the Equinox Chassis.
The report literally said something like .....the Blazer will not compete in the same segment as Ford's new Bronco which will be body on frame and more truck like.

How much "Beef" would need to be added to a Uni-body for it to be structurally functional as a good off-road rig? The Cherokee was a uni-body and works but is limited in the possibility of major upgrades. I don't see this being an option for a vehicle with a removable top that is intended for off-road use/abuse though.
