I like chrome yellow because it's on the shelf at oReilly in quarts. About once a year I go through and replace and repair all the panels and having a supply like that is handy. When I was having it custom mixed I was never really happy with the results. It must not be an easy one to match.

I love the color and looked for one in that color when I was ready to buy. I used to have a ton of pics, but deleted them all once I bought my green EB. Hit google up- that's where I found most of the pics I had.

My 64 Falcon convertible was Chrome Yellow when I bought it. It was my first DD when I was 16 (1976). People always had trouble figuring out the color. Some called it yellow, others orange. The guy I bought it from called it Grabber Yellow, but in researching it for repainting, I found it was really Chrome Yellow. It was non-metallic. It really stood out, & drew the attention of the local authorities so much that I gave up & painted it primer gray for awhile. It had a Black top, interior, rocker trim, & grille center. It also had chrome bumpers, hub caps, body trim, headlight rings, & grille surround. All in all it looked pretty good. I used NA (Amber) turn signal bulbs for the under dash interior lights. And yeah, when people asked, I told 'em it was Grabber Yellow.

I'm sorry I don't have any digital pics of it. I liked the look a lot. I have gone back & forth on whether or not to paint my 73 Chrome Yellow. I do plan to use some of those details again, especially in the grille area, whatever color the 73 gets painted.

Searching Google, this matchbox is the closest I found. It showed up under "School Bus Yellow Bronco".

never thought of the school bus yellow. i am using satin black on most everything no matter what color i paint it. thinking grille, top, flairs, bumpers, door handles all satin. i know it looks good with the green i want but not sure with chrome yellow. i dont like three colors but this one looks good http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127793&highlight=chrome+yellow (post #12) my green choice is a limestone poly type color

Some of these may be poor angles/lighting or even mis identified as Chrome Yellow, but I think this is the best example of CHrome Yellow
