I would greatly appreciate a measurement if someone has time. I am about to change boosters on a stock 76/77 angle bracket. How much clearance between the bottom of the master cylinder and the top of the inner fender? I am currently using a Duff bracket and I want to change to a stock 76 angle bracket. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have 3/4" under the vacumm unit and about a tight 1 1/2 under the MC

(wood is 1x (~3/4"))

Do you know that a 76-77 inner fender is bent there from the factory?

My 72 inner fender was bent by the current owner :( . I had an old Tom's bracket etc on it before which required a little change in contour of the inner fender for the booster. I have seen pictures of the aftermarket inner fenders. Thanks for the info and pictures.

76-77 inners are tweaked from the factory. To get a stock set-yp to fit the others with no inner mods, undo the 2 bottom booster to bracket bolts and pu a washer inbetween. It will angle just enough to clear with no ill effects on the mounting. I have this on 2 74's.

Here is a picture off of my web pages. I just cut a diamond shape out of the wheel house and turned it upside down and welded it back in. :)

That looks fantastic. When are you moving West? My inner fender needs a lot of fixing. :(

The reason for the post was I am about to install a Mustang Hydroboost on a stock bracket. I bought a Duff bracket and had clearance problems between the MC and hood and Duff hood shocks. I have it installed and everything is fine and works great. Clearance is great everywhere. Since I have too much time on my hands I wanted to install a later model Mustang hydroboost that has lines that stick up too far to clear the hood. This will give me an idea how much I can move the booster down and have the lines clear the hood. Here is a picture of the 98 booster on a Duff bracket.

Thanks for all the replies.
