I know this question has been ask a hundred times. But I have not seen a definate answe. I have to special order the tires over here and they do not take them back. So I am doing a frame off restoration on my 1967 Bronco wagon. I will be keeping everything stock. So my question is what is the biggest tire I can put on stock 15" steel rims?? I plan on buying BFG A/T

Stock tire would equal 205/75R 15 and other threads have said 235/75R 15 will fit with no rubbing.

Thanks in advance .

If it's completely stock why are you asking for the biggest tire that will fit? Completely stock is 7.00x15.

Bedankt Elan. i will get the 235's. Reason for the biggest tire is for the fuller look instead of skinny looking tires.

Thanks for the fast answers

To answer your question, you have to define what you mean by stock. In 1967 the stock tires would be 7.35x15 with optional 6.50x16s. By 1973 L78x15s were optional these are equivalent to 235/R75 15s and do look good on any early Bronco.

The point of my question is, stock for some early Broncos isn't stock for '67s. People concerned with doing a correct '67 restoration won't use tires correct for '73-'77 Broncos.

This is what we have on Elmer. No rear rub but hit radius arms in tight turns.
