Can anyone confirm that the correct 80s SBF bellhousing with hydraulic slave cylinder bracket is E4TA-7505-DA? I'm somewhat new to these IDs and I also see E4TZ-7505-C pop up as being the same bellhousing.

Does anyone also know if clearance there's issues with the headers/slave cylinder running this setup? I'm leaning toward this option now since i'd eventually swap to a AX15 and it could pair nicely. my understanding is that an AX15 (WH or TBP) conversion kit would bolt right up to this bellhousing.

I think there are still some minor modifications needing to be done to the bell housing to fit the AX transmission. Or at least it was with the NV3550. Maybe not the AX.

But the part number seems strange. Or I should say “engineering number” because that’s what it is.
An E4T means that that was originally designed for the 74 model year trucks. (Edit: I mean the 80’s!)
I don’t think they were using hydraulic slave cylinders that early, but I could be wrong on that.
I also don’t think that the bell housing would be the same for the 80s with hydraulic clutches. I could be wrong on that as well, but my impression is that FORD would’ve made a big enough change to warrant a later model engineering number. Not just a suffix letter change.
Luckily, there are a couple of very good FORD part number gurus here that could probably fill in the blanks.

Oops! Sorry about that.
Yes, and E is for the 80s.
I don’t know why I skipped a letter and thought it was the 70s.
C equals 60s, D equals 70s. So you’re on the right track.
