Couple of Suspension Questions

Since I'm new to the EB thing I have a few questions about suspension and axles. I sure I could get some of my answers doing a search but some probably not so I'll kill all/some the birds with a single stone here if you don't mind.

1. Are all rear spring shackle hangers welded on from the factory?

2. If so, has anyone done a shackle flip to put the rear shackle in compression and used either a stock leaf pack or longer leaf pack for more articulation?

3. What is a stock or lifted springs eye to eye measurement along the main leafspring?

4. What is the WMS on early broncos for the front and rears if it's a 9" and a D44?

Thanks for the answers fellas.

1. As far as I know they are all welded.

2. Yes, you can do a shackle flip and gain about 2.5" of lift with the stock leafs.

3. Not sure off the top of my head.

4. Not sure on this one either.

On the shackle flips;

For chevys there are several places you can buy or you can do a homebrew flip. Do any of the vendors here make the flips or are they all homebrew for the EBs?

Just cut the stock ones off, flip and weld back on as far as I know. If I had more than a 110 welder I would have done this, but I don't.
