Body off, waiting for paint. Parked engine in frame coupled to NP435. Had to remove headers, they looked so pretty. Destroyed gaskets. Scraping crap and grease and everything before satin black. Watched it rain.
Working on serp install on off road build.
Working on serp install on off road build.
This is the first time in my life, a tank of gas has lasted two weeks! Work has us staying since the 16th of March to reduce risk to the work force.
I purchased this frame last summer from throttle down customs, and I have painted/prepped it in late feb 2020. Well the timing was right, and I pulled the trigger and moved forward with the frame swap.
It's extremely hard to not get sucked in and fall victim to project creep. I did have to purchase a C4/D20 adapter due to mine being cracked. That hurt the bank account.
Im currently waiting on the adapter seals, and adapter, and it should be ready to slide under Merlot, and "fingers crossed"; drivable this week!
I am zig zagging on mine. I get part way into one area and it requires parts that I don't want to spend on right now or shipping which is a hassle.
Still getting things done but not the order I want. Stopped in the middle of the axle builds due to waiting on a buddy that is helping me build the rear diff and got the wrong parts for my heim steer. So, I decided to drop the engine and trans in. Got a new flywheel and clutch in, mated it up and set it in. Yesterday started on the serp conversion and dropped the pan to put a new gasket in after the timing cover switch. Slow going but keeps my mind off the chaos.
I know we have the what have you done to your Bronco thread but I'm trying to get ideas of little stuff I can do while I'm stuck at the house with a reduced workload. Let's see what everyone is working on! I'll start:
So far I've redone my headlight harness since the LMC relays stopped working correctly and have started to clean up all of my wiring. And replaced the H4 sealed beams with LED JW Speaker style lights.
I also am going to start working on my radiator mounts, I relocated them to make more room for my Volvo 740 fan.
