Can’t comment if it’s a good deal or not.. but I don’t think anyone has really put the 10r80 in our broncos… might look into that more.

I just did more research and it's not a 4x4 version therefore the Dana20 adapter wouldn't work.

You can buy a brand new crate coyote from ford performance for under $10k without the computer. That’s what I use as a metric on what’s a good deal or not. I’ve seen a few gen 2 6R combos out of mustangs locally for around $4k depending on mileage. Those dont last long.

Save your money and put in a nicely build SBF, can't go wrong.
Even JGO who builds a lot of broncos has went back to SBF instead of this Coyote silliness.

My thoughts as well.
But it is your truck, build how you want!
I've decided to do an explorer swap. Found a donor 99 5.0L with a 4x4 4R70W tranny. I know the 1996 is most desirable but will be putting Sanderson GT40P compatible headers for spark plug access. I will start a new build thread soon.

Nice choice. The Sanderson headers are beautiful. I got a factory tour last year and their is a lot of hand labor involved with their headers. Well made.
