I'd like to go ahead and be doing all I can do to get my EB ready for paint. One question is can I paint it without cutting my fenders yet? Or should I get someone to possibly make me a paper patern so I can cut my fenders to the tune of my new flares I plan to install so I dont have paint chipping problems (when I get to that point)?
thanks
Ben

I guess it depends on what you are going to cut them with. I used tin snip and my paint chipped out, kind of hard not to do. I would say hold off on paint before you cut your fenders.

In addition to cutting the fenders for the flares, you're going to have to make a ton of little holes to mount the flares. I would have to agree with the others. Get the flares first, then cut your fenders, and drill all your holes, then paint.

a body saw with a fine tooth blade shouldnt be a problem unless you hit any body filler. i use a piece of masking tape and cut through the tape so as not to scratch the paint. once you cut, deburr the cut and remask the area and spray with some por or primer and glop on some 3m undercoat along the edge to protect it.
