OK, I have a '67 with a D44 w/drums up front. I have a buddy who is making a bogger out of an '86 K5 Blazer. He has a corporate 10 bolt with disk that I can have. He says that from the knuckles out will bolt right onto a cheby D44. So, should this bolt onto mine from the knuckles out?
Thanks in advance o' EB gurus!!

search on here for chevy disk conversion. you should be able to use the chevy knuckles, caliper brackets and spindles. you then use ford hubs and rotors to keep the ford bolt pattern. i think you have to use chevy outer stub axles when you do this but i just woke up and am only halfway thru my first cup of coffee so my brain isn't awake yet.

The '86 will have the large inner bearing that is not compatable with the Ford rotors.
The backing plates and calipers should work, but really that is all that is usable off that axle. Knuckles will do you no good. Left side of the page, tech articles, find the brakes, read up on it.

All you would need to do is get the spindle machined so the inner bearing is the same size as your current drum brake inner bearing. Eitherway I'd take the backing plates spindles and calipers.

Could you use the stock Bronco spindles? I used the backing plate from an 83 chebby, and stock Bronco spindles.

Supposedly if you also build a spacer to push the spindle outward a little there have been a few guys that have done it.
