Has anyone tried the D44 thick gears now available so that you can run 3.92 and up gears on the 3.73 and lower carrier?

I have helped install some 4.56's on the lower carrier. Worked out fine.

Yes, they do have some miles on them. No problems to date.

I'm running the 4.88 yukon thick gears on my ARB. I've had them in 2 different axle housings. They've been in there since 2004 without issue. The first shop that installed them said they had seen some problems with the yukons when they first came out but my set installed just fine. When they were installed in the next axle 3 years later the shop said they were just fine.
They are still in there.
