Looking for an inexpensive upholstery shop in Dallas to put on the front seat covers I ordered from JBG. Anyone done this and have a good recommendation?

Lots of people do their own without any problems.I don't think it's much to it if you wanted to give a shot.

if you can do it yourself. I have had nothing but disappoinmet from dallas area trim shops and in every case I NEVER got anywhere near what I wanted. My buddy drove from royce city to Fort Worth to because he has so much bad luck as well. He was dissappointed as well.

I told him to go to sue and at least get a price and he thinks so little of the show he wouldnt go. But heck just because the show is silly doesnt mean she doesnt do good work.

Used to be a place when I was a kid called loop 12 trim shop, they did a good job (usually) but they were slow and very expensive. I suspect it was a front for a booky operation, or something like that.

There's a really good boat upholstery shop in Mesquite by the Rodeo stadium, I think it's called Andrew's. I take my stuff to a shop in Mineola. Very inexpensive, nice work. If you think you'd drive that far I'll get the number for you.

See if Matney's in Decator is still there. They did my rear seat in my bronco and recovered my leather seats in my f250 in 2005. Not cheap but did excellent work

I did mine last fall, never done it before in my life. Took me a good 2 days because I worked slow and tried not to get mad. Took my time and I was able to do it. I followed this step by step, http://classicbroncos.com/tech/recover-bronco-seat-upholstery just take your time, plenty of Advil for your hands and you will do fine. Also make sure you have a good set of hog ring pliers and hog ring. I seen someone said they knew of a place that would do it for 40.00 each, that's cheap but will they check the structure of the seat frame and make sure it's not broke etc...? Also I was able to paint the frames too. Do it yourself, that way you can say you did it.

Sue

Tell her to add it to Richard's bill

Just called ASM (Sue's shop from Fast N Loud). They said it would be $400 per seat!! This is just for installation, I would be bringing in the covers. With all the exposure from the show, they must not be hurting for work quoting those prices.

Mr C's Upholstery in Garland, $40 a cover. Good, but cheap.

Mr C's Upholstery in Garland quoted $120 a cover. Guess they have bumped up their prices!

Damn, man. Sorry

This is the place I was talking about. I see they have moved.

http://matneys.com/

The work they did on the F250 still looks good and has outlasted the factory leather. The rear seat in my bronco is still in good shape with the exception of a rat chew from being parked in my shop:mad:

I doubt they would be cheap but past experience says the work would be good.
