Dana 20 missing detent rod

So there ARE supposed to be detent rods in both holes, between the shift rails on a J-shift Dana 20, right?? Mine had one only in the rear bore. No, I cannot attest to the operation of this case as I've not yet had this truck on the road and have no clue the history of it.

Awesome! I was hoping that was the case. All the diagrams I've found have been for a T-shift and when I searched "T shift vs. J shift" I didn't get any good tech info, just opinions.
