I am installing a 3 1/2" lift which came with track bar lowering bracket. When I put track bar on the axle shifts way over to driver side. Is this normal or do I need adjustable track bar?

If the drop bracket doesn't center it pretty close, go with the adjustable bar.

I have a 3.5" lift, and the adjustable fits perfect. Another option to to bend the factory bar to fit. Try your best to have the track bar parallel to the axle.

Is the trac bar drop bracket installed? A 3 1/2" lift with no drop bracket and an adjustable trac-bar really isn't going to handle very well. Put the tires forward-- take a straight edge and measure out from the frame to that straight edge to make sure theres no illusion going on. Also is the lift a try 3 1/2"

Do you have the suspension loaded yet? It is expected to be offset if the suspension does not have the full weight on it.

I'm running a '76 on 35s with the 3 1/2 WH suspension, no drop bracket installed.

I won't install a drop bracket. Ever.

Fixed quite a few ripped out frames for 'others' back at camp with my mobile welder over the years though..

If you do want to change the track bar geometry, I always strongely recommend an axle riser. If you must use a drop bracket, you should completely remove the existing one and weld the doubler plates in the that frame are to carry the load.

Yes the bracket is installed. The only weight on is motor, no body.

In that case, don't worry about it yet. it can come back into alignment when you finish. If not then that is the time to install an adjustable track bar. But without finished weight you are chasing a problem that probably doesn't exist.
