I'm going to do the rear disc conversion on my rear D70U so I'll need the wheel bearing spec if anyone has it handy. Thanks!

Although they may all be the same, do you have the application that the axle originally came out of? I'll look up a couple, but that info would save us some time.

So far I'm coming up with:
Inner bearing & cup - 387AS/382A
Outer bearing set - Set 38
Seal - 9864S

This is for a single-wheel rear D70 (70B and 70HD, but not specifically designated a "U" though) from '67 to '76 Van applications.

Hope that gets the ball rolling.

The single wheel D70 rear end should have the same wheel bearing as the D60 front ends. I used Ford D70 spindles and hubs when I built the D60HP rear end for my YJ. It has the same wheel bearings and seals now on all four corners.

The axle came out of a 1989 F350 but they might have scabed it in for all I know. Thanks!

Then those bearings above should be the correct ones.

I don't doubt your experiences with them Scott, but the book shows different bearings for the front D60's and the rear D70's. I've run afoul of many a mistake in the books (including u-joints recently), so I'm not taking them as gospel.

Give those bearing numbers a try though 68 and see if they match.
