i have an original in good shape but im going to build my own when i get to that point so i can move glove box over so roll cage wont be in the way plus it just ads to the looks and something extra to take pride in

My personal preference is stock for road machines, full custom for off road.

Has anybody built their own dash pad.................I was thinking of doing it out of aluminum and make it with some tray action in there to hold things.

So you know my opinion, custom is better

I put an aluminum plate over my dash and installed autometer guages where I can see them. I have never missed the stock dash, plus it is nice to have guages that work and are visible. I have had this set up since '92.

stock with custom touches.....I'm not a big fan of the digital dash per se, though I do like the GPS based speedos that are out there. If I were to go for a new dash, I would likely go that route with matching mechanical/electric gauges and more "stock" looking switches & such.
