Has anyone one used Dennis carpenters vent window rubber seals? I don't mind paying more for something that fits right but they are almost twice as much as what all the vendors sell. $100 for a pair. $50 something from toms.

Pardner, I don't know about the vent window rubbers, but DC makes a lot of the products that other vendors sell. In most cases, he's higher priced than them, cause they buy from him in bulk, so he doesn't try to compete with them. I think it's pretty smart on his part!!!;D;D;D

If you live near his place, going to his place and saving the freight might be the trick.
Good Luck!!:cool::cool:

Every other part I need to rebuild vent windows is cheaper or the same to buy from dc with flat rate shipping. Is there something special about these seals?

I'm pretty sure the ones we installed on our recent 67 U14 made by DC (not sure who we bought them from). They fit OK, but I already noticed some small cracks. This build has not even been finished a year yet, and has never been outside except for half a dozen shows!

I have seen 40+ year old rubber that did not have any cracks!

Ended up ordering the seals from wild horses. They were more than toms but not as much as Dennis. Justin over there said they used to sell Dennis carpenters but they have another vendor now that the quality is better and price is cheaper. So when they come in I'll let u guys know. I have a stock set in driver condition to compare the new ones to.
