Denver Bronco worth it?

Hi everyone, first of all thank you for all the great information I’ve been able to learn from this.

Anyway, I have a rust free ‘75 Denver edition Bronco that I got a while back. I have restored other old Fords in the past, but this will be the first Bronco (Also have an untouched ‘66 with rust issues.) I’m wondering if it’s worth it to restore back to original or if I’m not losing much value in just going forward with the plans I had before finding out it’s a Denver edition. I’ve read a few different ideas. Thanks for any input!

Welcome, and as always, post pics, it's hard to give any legit advise without seeing anything.

I'm interested in what others say on this. Certainly within the "Bronco Community" the Denver edition is rare and desired (I would love to have one). However outside of the community, they are obscure and unknown. Since price is fundamentally based on supply and demand. How much demand is out there for a rare but unknown model???

Not at all. Like a Stroppe, Balloon Chaser, or U13, the Denver edition is going to be worth much much more when restored to stock form that converted to another run of the mill cut and lifted Bronco. Regardless of its current condition.

What is special about a Denver Bronco other than a couple of decals. I'm serious as I don't know.

I have more questions than answers.
Depending on current condition it might be worth more in original shape since you said it's rust free.

It will be easier to post pictures when you get home if you are a contributor here. The $12 price tag is worth every penny.

Welcome. Starting with a Denver and a 66 is a pretty darn good start. Okie keeps track of 66 serial numbers, post if you want, it will tell us which model and how early it was built. Now if you have some original 66 hub caps you don't like I would be happy to help you move them, just don't check on value......

Congratulations.

I asked that because all we know is that it's rust free and not original and that he's going forward with some kind of a build. No idea about any other details. If his plans moving forward is a $100,000 coyote build, it's going to be worth more than returning a Denver back into an "original" looking Denver imo.

I picked up a denver editiin bronco for a buddy 10 or so years back. It was a bit beat up as the owner used it for a wheeling rig in the Northwest.
He sold it to a freind of his for a small profit. This freind then had it restored back to original in the sum of about 55k, about 67k in to it total. It sold at auction and i believe he cleared 85k on it.

Just one story i know of it sold probably u
7 years ago.

Like was mentioned above, some of the Icon style builds bring more money. Just depends on What you want to do with it.

I vote to restore as the denver editions are rare.

I would put it back original and if you don't want to do that then trade or sell it to some one that would and get another bronco and do what you want that's a win win deal for every one. I have seen and heard of many rare and special broncos be turned in to something "nice" but sad to say they were not put back original to finish living out there glory and get the attention that they really deserve. Just my opinion

Can anyone give specifics as to why a Denver would be worth more than say a 10% premium for the fact it's a Denver edition? Any Stroppe parts on it such as steering wheel, bumper braces, transmission adaptor stamped Stroppe, Stroppe roll bar, double shocked, etc. In my mind I'm thinking the only thing differentiating it is a limited number, a paint job and a tire cover.

Supposedly they were leftover stroppe destined units that were not used due to stroppe saying he didnt want to do them anymore due to a death. The denver is painted as a stroppe left the factory. The blue roofs and black hoods were painted at stroppes shop. Any of the stroppe goodies would not be on ther due to them never being in the shop. From what i remember the units were offered to all ford dealers and the denver area jumped on the deal to make them denver broncos broncos. This is what i remember reading a long time ago and do know know if it has been proven to be true or not. Hope this helps

Why is a 1969 Mach 1 with a 351 worth significantly more than a run of the mill 1969 Mustang fastback with a 351? The option packages produced in limited numbers drive the collector market for all kinds of classic vehicles.

Why is an eyebrow grille worth more than a standard grille? Uniqueness, rarity, desirability...something others don’t have.
