In moderation it can be ok. There are two major problems with it though, first one is its styling seriously dates the rig to the 90's when it was the cool thing to do, same thing that saw blade wheels do. Second which is more pressing is that too many use it to cover areas of rot and you can typically tell by the install. That being said, I don't mind seeing it in areas of major wear like bed rails, door sills or tailgate protection. With so many styling options available today, I don't like seeing it plastered throughout the vehicle as most don't take the time to keep it polished...
