Did Broncos Ever Come With Rear Sway Bars?

A couple of axles I got with my 2nd Bronco. The disc front end is going on my 74. The rear end is a big bearing though she's crispy outside!

The next generation did but not eb's.

WH sells a rear sway bar for eb's but you should always put the sway bar on the front if you are only running one. If running two, ie,..front and rear, then you can really garner some decent handling, but if you do not get disconnectable links they will "really" inhibit articulation off road.

Never came off the line with one. That is the answer.

Everything is available aftermarket. That is aftermarket. Don't know which one.

I have a rear sway in the garage that looks very similar. Do you have the u-bolts that go over the top of the frame rails?

More info on this new Bronco?

Nope, it looks like it's missing the pieces on that end--at least a few of them.

Here's a shot of a mostly complete rear sway. I'd say more than likely of the same origins as yours.

And the aforementioned u bolt.

It's a early Hellwig. I have one and they work well. The new Hellwig sway bars offered by the venders aren't as heavy but have better end links.

I'm definitely missing a few parts, will have to dig around and see if they aren't lurking in the hardware pile I have with this stuff. Thanks for all of the inputs here.

The U-bolts and axle perches for the new Hellwig bars are better than the early version. I also replaced the bushings with poly. The 1 1/8" bar seems like it may be too much but the center mounts are so close to the differential, that a large movement of one wheel relative to the other wheel only moves the center mounts about 1/4 that distance. So the bar has to be heavy to have much effect. From what I see in your photos, you have all the parts.
