Not sure of the exact weight but its heavy. My '99 F250 4x4 weighs close to 8000 lbs wet. Off pavement it quickly makes you realize it is EXTREMELY heavy in the front end and 4x4 becomes necessary. 19 quarts of oil in the 7.3L . Not sure this would be a good match for an EB...

Let me know if you do it and it works!

There's the 4 cylinder Cummins turbo diesel 3.9 L that a lot of rock buggies are using. It makes 140 HP and about 320 Lb/ft. Only drawback is that it weighs about 800 lbs. Go with a 351W it can make it under 500 lbs and can make more than 500 ft/lbs of torque.

DC is bringing a diesel powered Liberty to the US soon. It should be pretty lightweight (relatively).

Also, it may bolt right to the NV.

I called Detroit on this already. Sort of a pipe dream to get the liberty diesel right now. They said that it's not available aftermarket yet and may not be for a while. I personally am going with the 4BT in a few years. The 351 is a cool torquey motor, but I want tons of torque with 25+ mpg. 5 mpg doesn't work for long road trips.

What is this about a 6cly powerstroke? I don't think i will be doing a diesel right now. But after the motor i am doing no goes to sh@t i wouldn't mind the idea of a diesel. What are the demensions of the powerstrokes (6.0 and the 7.0)? Would they even go in the bronco?? Thanks-kyle

I know this is a bit off topic, but our 2002 250 7.3 powerstroke only takes 15 qts of oil, am i missing something?
