I was curious if you guys considered making an app for ClassicBroncos.com? Something kinda like the craigslist apps that are out there today. There are a lot of times where I would love to see what new items/broncos have been listed or quick references for fixes while hoovering over the engine. I'm assuming there are other guys and gals out there like me who travel for work or may find themselves away from the computer, and may find a compressed version of the site handy from their phone. Anyhow, just an idea - and wanted to know if maybe it has been talked about or may be in the works. Thanks.

Side Note: To any iPhone users who may be interested, the app store offers an app called Opera Mini which is a web browser. It seems to upload the site (classicbroncos.com) very quickly and seems to be a faster browser than Safari.

I use an app called "Tapatalk" on my iphone for other forums. It works awesome with Pirate4x4 and a couple of other forums I tune in to for work. Its supposed to work with quite a few different bulletin board suites but apparently the one Jon uses for CB.com isn't among them. That's too bad because its a great app with a great working, intuitive interface. I've found the "mobile" version fo this site basically unusable. When I have to look something up here on my iphone, I just use Safari and scroll around a lot, but really mostly stay away from CB.com until I can get back to my laptop or desktop machines.

I made my own icon for my iPhone for this site, as you can for any web address. I read the "New Posts" from my phone often and have no issues with it, straight from the normal web address. I don't search or any other function, but I can occupy myself contently, plus I can comment on posts too using the iPhone.

Thanks for the input. Yeah, I don't really have a problem with my iPhone when I am looking at CB.com - but it would be cool to have a mobile site or it's own app. I also understand that this site probably gets a good chunk of funding from its advertisements, which would be (mostly) cut out if on a mobile site. I forgot about creating my own icon for the website, thanks for reminding me gearida! I will definitely be doing that.

I use vBulletin here, which is the same software that Pirate uses. Tapatalk probably requires it's own software be added on to vBulletin.

I'll take look at Tapatalk. Someone else recently emailed me another app that's supposed to work well with vBulletin. I'm not sure I can use more than one, so I'll need to research and see which has the best features.

Also, typically these are not free apps. I mean for you, the user. But they're not expensive either; typically $3-5.

I always just browse the site when on my BB. I've never looked at what advantage an app has over just a browser. I'll look into it some more.

If anyone has any other suggestions for apps like Dusty and Tapatalk, please post up.

Billy just pm me and I'll explain how you can get the cb icon on your iPhone if you can't get it done by reading the link that I posted above.

On the iphone, first go to classicbroncos.com rather than a link within this site. This is because the classic bronco’s icon is positioned so you can use it as your iphone icon. Once your there, zoom in on the icon like you see in the attached picture. This will ensure you see it aligned like you want it for your icon. You can double check it by viewing the second picture.

Next hit the plus ( + ) symbol to add to your home page. This will allow you to view how your icon will look and it will allow you to change the name of the icon. cb.com seemed to work better for me with it being short. Once you hit add it will send it to your home page.

FYI, I spoke to a rep for Motorola last week and he wasn’t aware of a way to make this type of app icon for the Motorola (AT&T) Backflip which utilizes the Android software. Not saying it can’t be done but he wasn’t aware of how to do it if it can be.
