I’m planning on upgrading my ‘70 to power Front disc brakes. I have a Dana 30, so I think I’m limited to the GM based kits from most of the bronco vendors or a wilwood kit. The GM based conversion seems pretty well regarded, but For a couple hundred bucks more, I’m leaning toward the wilwood kit. Are there any issues with the lower end wilwood option? How do they compare to the gm based kits?

I have the wilwoods. I went with the 12" discs all around. Summit racing had the best price and free shipping. Shiped direct from wilwood. Its worth it.

I have the bronco specific 15 in rim kit with 6 piston dynalite calipers. Pistons are small so clamping force of the caliper is only slightly better than gm caliper if at all. Rotor is something they had and could be close to an in larger. That pissed me off. Wilwood rep said they make the same 6 piston caliper with larger pistons which would make it have more clamping force than stock and even the better T bird calipers. If I was to buy this kit again, it would only be if I could get the larger pistons, other wise not worth it.

I just ordered them from CJ Pony Parts. I found a 10% coupon code online and CJ has free shipping, so the cost netted out pretty close to the GM based kit with shipping.

I'd think wilwoods would be worth it for the $$
