Im looking into changing to disc brakes in the front of my 75 bronco. I was told by a local shop that a 78 scout with a dana44 would work. Can anyone let me know if it will for sure before I buy the parts? The guy told me he would sell me everything from the knuckle out for $175.

thanks

Man i do not think the scout stuff is quite right.
The good stuff comes off the 78-79 Ford Pickup or Bronco. Bolt on goodies.
Price sounds way too high for my liking too, up here that in a 100 dollar touch maximum.

The Scout stuff can work but it's not as easy as using Ford or chebby parts. The high steer knuckles create some interferance issues with your Trackbar mounts, or some other, annoying parts.
Search the Broncfix archive, or maybe even the EBML archives for Quinn Duesenbury(sp?) He did some experimenting with this, and I think he was successful so we all could learn from his mistakes.
