Distributor gear change for EFI

Hey guys,

I am just about to start swapping the efi parts onto my 302 and wondering about the distributor gear. How hard is it to swap the gear? Do you just punch out the pin and it comes off? Any tricks I should know?

Also, I assume I could use the gear off my original dizzy?

Generally you just drive out the pin, then put it in a vise and tap out the shaft with a soft hammer. Just the opposite to install.
Your old gear should work.

How are things in SC. I lived there 14 yrs. before I moved to Sacramento.

SC is good except for all the fog lately.
